ReDirecting domains for SEO
« on: February 11, 2013, 07:03:49 PM »

Does anyone know, if there is still any real benefit and improvement in SERPS, for doing 301 redirects on old domains?

For example, going onto GoDaddy auctions, buying an expired domain in the same niche, with PR and links, and doing a 301 redirect on that domain to your money site.

But, if you get a domain with alot of links to it, would Google then penalise you for link velocity?

Thanks

Direct them to the main domain, Creating one page sites for each domain to link them in might be considered link farming = penalty.

Good Idea, Domainers gobble up mis spellings all the time. take a look at wwwcaptures.com
