The only way is to improve the content of your website, so that users will stay at your website, even buy the product.

Just have to attract more targeted traffic to your website. If you own a website about horses you will need people who are interested in horses, not people interested in Wanning or in pens, right?
Also you need a good, interesting and unique content. ring2012 mentioned the content already.
A fan of science, philosophy and so on. :)

And you may put some links like "Read more". I think that it is a very good idea to decrease the bounce rate. 8)
I will not write about SEO, but about love, food, UFO, sport, psychology, paranormal and everything else I like.

Very good, Johnnie, but I don't think that the videos are helpful if they're on the first/landing page, are they?

Bounce rate is the percentage of people who visited a page and immediately left.
Ways to reduce bounce rate:
Make your content unique, readable and legible
Avoid pop-ups
Target keywords with high-value traffic
Speed up your page load time
