Google Adwords
« on: March 24, 2013, 02:14:21 AM »
Is Google Adwords effective or is it a waste of money? I have a travel site and am thinking of trying it, I have only a $1000 to spare.

I think it is effective, but I am not sure if it will be effective for your travel site, because it depends of many other things like:

- where are your destinations. For example if people prefer to travel to France and China (or Brazil and Australia) and you offer them to travel to Afghanistan and Somalia (or Iraq and Syria), then probably you can't get enough costumers and it'll be not Google Adwords fault.
- how good are you prices. If someone offers, for example, $500 for a travel to Japan and you offer $1500, then probably your competitor with the lower price will get the costumers.
- what is the quality of your website (design, user friendly,...)

You can try to spend only 50% of these $1000, i.e. $500 for Google Adwords and if you're satisfied, then to spend the rest 50% ($500) too. Or you can pay for Google Adwords $900 and pay us $100 for some good white hat and green hat SEO. The money is yours, so you have to decide how to spend it. Good luck to you and to your travel business! I'm living in a famous travel place, so I know how important it is.

Google AdWords advertisements are indexed according to which keyword you want your advert to appear for.

No medicines links.

It is indeed effective, one of the basic principal behind AdWords is that you only pay when someone clicks on your ad. It's called PPC advertising.

I agree with those that said not to go the adwords way just yet. There is so much to adwords that you can never learn everything just by going through some tutorials.

I have a lot of keywords that are QS 1 now, but it does not seem like they are being limited in terms of the impressions they receive - so far it hasn't meant a lot of changes for me.

We can't say it is a waste of money if your looking for immediate results then you should target a high competitor keywords should be top in the search engine which may reach many visitors so when the visitors click then they will detect the amount but that is not in their hands only they will visible your site for a particular keywords in top

SEM involves use of Google adwords and other paid channels of advertising so that your targeted keyword are shown in the top results in search engine.

Edit: Don't use so many space after/under your post. We don't need to see so much blank in a post.
