An astronaut on a pillar at Salamanca cathedral church

Astronaut and church. Isn't it a kind of incompatible and paranormal...

There is no paranormal. The astronaut was added in 1992, during restoration work on the Salamanca cathedral.  :) As a symbol of the 20th century, it's not so incompatible. Here is a picture of this astronaut: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Cathedral,_Salamanca#mediaviewer/File:Sculpture_of_astronaut_added_to_New_Cathedral,_Salamanca,_Spain,_during_renovations.JPG http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/
A fan of science, philosophy and so on. :)
