Flip a coin (coin flipping) -- everything about it

Everything about the coin flipping (coin tossing; heads or tails)

"Tossing a coin" By Ipipipourax - Own work, CC0, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=14758687

Probably all of you saw it at least once till now. And you call it in different way: flip a coin, coin flip, heads or tails, flip coin, coin toss. It (coin flipping, coin tossing, or heads or tails) is the practice of throwing a coin in the air and checking which side is showing when it lands to choose between 2 alternatives, sometimes to resolve a dispute between two parties. (It is a form of sortition which inherently has only two possible and equally likely outcomes.) More about it in Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coin_flipping.

Online flip coin generator

Yes, there are many online flip coin generators. I like this flip coin generator: https://www.random.org/coins/. It allows you to flip virtual coins and the randomness comes from atmospheric noise, which for many purposes is better than the pseudo-random number algorithms typically used in computer programs.
