It's okay to write about SEO and it's good to learn how to write "SEO" in different languages.
In Chinese SEO is 搜索引擎优化 and it means "Search Engine Optimization".
In Vietnamese SEO is Tối ưu hóa công cụ tìm kiếm.
In Ukrainian SEO is Оптимізація для пошукових систем or Пошукова оптимізація сайту
In Turkish SEO is Arama motoru optimizasyonu
There is a language that I don't know and don't understand. And in this, I think Eastern language, in this language SEO is เอสอีโอ.
The next one is the about to be same situation - I got the feeling that it's an Eastern, Asian language, but no idea which one exactly...In this language SEO is தேடல் பொறி உகப்பாக்கம்
In Swedish SEO is Sökmotoroptimering.
In Serbian Seo is optimizacija web sajta za pretraživače
There are other Slav languages. I the first one - SEO is Optimizacija spletnih strani and in the second one SEO is Optimalizácia pre vyhľadávače... to be continued.

SEO in Russian is Поисковая оптимизация.
SEO in Romanian is optimizare pentru motoare de căutare
SEO in Portuguese is Otimização para motores de busca or just Otimização de Sites
SEO in Polish is Optymalizacja dla wyszukiwarek internetowych.
SEO in Norwegian is Søkemotoroptimalisering.
SEO in Japanese is 検索エンジン最適化 (サーチ・エンジン・オプティマイゼーション)
SEO in Dutch is Zoekmachineoptimalisatie
SEO in some language, that I don't know is it Malay, is Pengoptimuman enjin carian
SEO in another unkown for me language is സെർച്ച് എഞ്ചിൻ ഒപ്റ്റിമൈസേഷൻ
SEO in Macedonian is Оптимизација за интернет пребарувачи or Оптимизација на алатките за пребарување
SEO in another unknown for me language is Meklētājprogrammas optimizācija
SEO in Korean is 검색 엔진 최적화
SEO in Italian is Ottimizzazione (motori di ricerca) or just Ottimizzazione

   SEO in unknown for me language (may be Indian?) is खोज इंजन इष्टतमीकरण

That's all what I can do for the SEO and language fans, using Wikipedia.org. Please, later I'll need some help to detect what are these unknown for me Western and Eastern languages.

Yes. SEO is mostly local (or regional; om the basis of language) when it's not international.

As I saw online English is the first one in SEO and then - Chinese as number 2. This is the present situation in Internet and logically in SEO. I don't know how it's going to be in the future. In my point of view the most important will be: English, Chinese, Spanish, Arab and may be: Indonesian, Indian, Portuguese...

By the way, I realized that the better topic's name should be ""SEO" (in quotes!) in different languages" or "Search Engine Optimization" in different languages. But, at least, from the context of the content you, dear SEO and Non-SEO people, can get it in the right way (I hope!).
