Basic knowledge for some of the Chinese adults

and their kids

about 老外(laowai),

i.e. about the non-Chinese, the foreigners in China

  I'd like to post some basic, useful knowledge for some of the Chinese adults and their kids (and for all non-Chinese people, who are interested in this topic, of course); I mean these people, who are not well informed about the foreigners, called in China "老外"/"laowai".
 1. Not every 老外/laowai is good. Some 老外/laowais are good, some are not that good, some are even criminals.
 2. Not every 老外/laowai is bad. Some 老外/laowais are bad, some 老外/laowais are not that bad, some 老外/laowais are even saints, scientists, pacifists, etc.
 3. Not every 老外/laowai is rich. Some 老外/laowais are rich, some are just middle class and some are even homeless.
 4. Not every 老外/laowai is American/USA person(美国人). In fact only 12% from the 老外/laowais in China are from the US: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Mainland_China_Foreign_Nationals_By_Country_of_Origin_2010.png
 And the Americans are not only white and some are even black, yellow or mixed.
 5. Not every 老外/laowai is a native English speaker. There are many other languages abroad like: Russian(俄语), Spanish(西班牙语), Arab(阿拉伯语), French(法语), Japanese(日语) and so on.
 6. Not every 老外/laowai who is not a native English speaker has poor English. Some 老外/laowais can speak good English and, sometimes, even more than 1 foreign language, for example: "their own native language(French/Turkish/Korean/etc.) + English + Russian + Chinese".
 7. Not every 老外/laowai is a supporter of the capitalism. Some 老外/laowais are capitalists, some are socialists/communists... and some just don't care about the politics and/or the economics.
 8. Not every 老外/laowai supports the anti-Chinese politics. Some 老外/laowais are anti-Chinese, some are pro-Chinese, some just don't care about China.
 9. Not every 老外/laowai has AIDS. Some 老外/laowais' countries have more AIDS than China. Some have almost the same as China and some have less than China. (http://www.who.int/topics/hiv_aids/en/)
 10. Not every 老外/laowai is working/living in China, because he/she can't find a good job in his/her country. Some 老外/laowais just like to live/work abroad to see some new things and some live in China, because they really love China, Chinese people, Chinese language, Chinese culture and so on.
 11. Not every 老外/laowai is very "open". Some 老外/laowais are open, some are not so open, some are shy and even virgin and/or religious.

 Recently, when more and more foreign websites are banned in China, less and less Chinese students learn English hard and when the trend is to inform the people mostly about the problems, dangers, catastrophes, etc. abroad I am making a guess that after some years the image of the foreigners will be worse than before in China (like the way it happens in Russia currently).
