在这个复杂的世界里，标牌发挥很大的作用。标牌可以指导、提醒、通知和警示，是我们生活的重要部分。如果没有指示标牌，我们就很容易迷路。随着我们经济的全球一体化，双语标牌对很多场所而言是一个基本需求。很遗憾的是，很多双语标牌翻译得不准确或不地道。您只需观察一下中国各地的标牌，这些标牌的英文只能称之为“中式英文”。有一些会让人莞尔一笑，而有一些则会给人们带来误会麻烦甚至是损失。

In today’s complicated world, signs play a huge part in our everyday life. They direct, inform, remind and often warn of potential dangers. Without them we would literally be lost. As the world around us grows increasingly cosmopolitan by the day, bilingual signs have become a fundamental need in most places around the globe. Sadly, many signs that have been translated into English tend to lack accuracy and clarity. Proof of this is found by way of the Chinglish that fills the towns and cities of mainland China. These poorly translated signs lead to confusion, bemusement and misunderstandings.
