Danmark: Open Sandwiches

We are familiar with sandwiches, two slices of bread with all kinds of fillings inside.Have you heard of  "Open sandwich"?
Open sandwich has only a piece of bread, you can place a variety of side dishes you like on the bread. This is the traditional food of Denmark. In Copenhagen, the most famous of an open sandwich restaurant has already several hundred years of history.

Danish open sandwiches Smorrebrod is the classic Danish lunch. One piece of brown bread coated with butter stacked on seafood or cold food as a side dish, and then doused with ingredients. Accumulation of meat or fish on black bread then there is a variety of different combinations.
