Dog Stinkhorn

The scientific name for Dog Stinkhorn is Mutinus caninus. It is not generally considered edible.

Mutinus caninus, commonly known as the dog stinkhorn, is a small thin, phallus-shaped woodland fungus, with a dark tip. A dog stinkhorn has a stalk without a cap; the slimy gleba is simply plastered on its surface near the apex where winged insects can find it.
