"To each according to his contribution"
« Reply #2 on: June 06, 2012, 03:15:50 AM »

"To each according to his contribution"

In my opinion: "This essentially means that people are rewarded based on the amount they contribute to the social product." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/To_each_according_to_his_contribution It's not a fraud as some people may think, it's an ideal of justice. For example you have a blog/forum and I have a blog/forum. You post in my blog/forum 10 posts and I post 10 posts in your blog, too. In fair? Sure! So where is the fraud?! The fraud is if I post for you 100 and you post for me only 1 or 2.

"To each according to his contribution" - my opinions about it in a discussion

"It IS a fraud because it doesn't exist and never has."

The existence of this is as "it's an ideal of justice". The practical realization of this ideal is just another question.

"An intelligent person would ask, "Who decides?"

The answer to that question can only be a central authority."

The intelligent person at first should learn about the People's congress (National People's Congress), I'll give you a link to Wikipedia's article and hopefully you will see that:
"The NPC consists of about 3,000 delegates. Delegates to the National People's Congress are elected for five-year terms via a multi-tiered representative electoral system. Delegates are elected by the provincial people's assemblies, who in turn are elected by lower level assemblies, and so on through a series of tiers to the local people's assemblies which are directly elected by the electorate."  -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_People%27s_Congress

So first - reading, after this - conclusions. Not only believe your local propaganda (I don't know where I you from, in fact, but I mean all of the guys, who are just believers of the schemes "Socialism = bad", "Capitalism = good", etc.)

"The promise of Utopian equality leads to the ultimate in inequality and corruption."

Why Utopian? I grew up in a country where more than 99% of the people were equal - everyone has a house, an apartment, job. The salaries were almost the same and it was enough for food, cinema, beach, electronic games...after this the capitalism came and now many of the people even can't buy food to have normal 3 dishes per day - breakfast, lunch, dinner...some are already homeless.
It is possible, but there is no political will to happen. When there is political will, when people have the moral to work for the society, etc., then this happens.  It is possible. Utopians are impossible, hence this is not an utopia, no matter you like it or not.

"Really?

So here you are playing the role of the Central Authority."

No, we call it forum post exchange or blog comment exchange...nothing central, nothing authoritarian. Or you prefer me to write/do 1000000000000000000 units and you to give me only 1, 2, 3 ... ? I know the capitalists are greedy, but this is nearly impossible. I am sure you can't want it, because you have to have some "feeling of justice" somewhere, deep in your heart.

"if I believe the quality of my 1 or 2 posts compared to your 100 posts, obviates my having to post 98 others?"

The quality is also important. I premised that we're talking about the same quality. So if there is the same quality, it is in fair and it is exactly "To each according to his contribution". This is one of the best moral, justice and rational points of view. You're contributing - you're receiving. You're NOT contributing - you don't receive. What fraud?! I know the capitalistic dream is to receive, without contribution, to enslave the workers, the people..., but it is not good at all, especially, when you're not the one who possess the capital (i.e. you're not a part of this minority).
