SEO / Old Site never optimized?
« on: February 21, 2013, 12:08:56 PM »

Most SEOs would refrain from saying this, but I'm gonna tell you…

If you have a Web site that's been online for a number of years -- with loads of quality content and built-in authority with the search engines -- but it's never been properly optimized, you're sitting on a search engine gold mine.

These are easy projects. Easy is a relative term, of course. There may be any number of other issues, such as site structure, content, and the competitive nature of the keywords of focus that can keep a good SEO very busy. Any SEO worth their salt can take your Web site to unbelievable heights in short order, using search engine sanctioned, white-hat tactics.

These Web sites may require little effort in terms of off page optimization. However, they may lack for a number of on page factors.

Thanks

SEO / Landing Page Success Tips
« on: February 17, 2013, 12:24:13 PM »

Also known as the “name squeeze page or “lead capture page , you can build your mailing list by funneling all of your would-be subscribers through the creation of a landing page. Not only do you do the work just once, your traffic driving efforts can be focused onto just one effective method.

The following are tips in creating a successful landing page that converts visitors into subscribers on a very huge percentage.

Success Tip 1: Offer a freebie in exchange for your visitor’s email address. I very much endorse this method of building your mailing list. You can offer a special report or a sample of your paid product to your visitor in exchange for their details such as name and email address.

Success Tip 2: The landing page must be written professionally. When writing your page, treat it as if you are writing a sales letter. While you are not necessarily making a hard sale or try to get someone to buy your product upfront, being able to entice your visitors to give their details to you is just as important as selling.

Success Tip 3: Other than your opt-in form and perhaps important disclaimers and terms, there shouldn’t be any other links on your landing page.

Success Tip 4: Rub in the benefits of the freebie you are offering more than a mere subscription to your newsletter. You should focus most of the attention of the letter on encouraging your prospective visitor to download your free offer. Later, you gently remind your prospect that he or she has nothing to pay but just merely subscribe to your newsletter in exchange for the freebie.

As a final reminder and conclusion, in order to build trust, you can include your hand-written signature or a photo of yourself explaining where you are coming from and how you can help your visitor through your free report on offer

SEO / Re: What is keyword density?
« on: February 13, 2013, 01:14:41 PM »
In search engine optimization (SEO) keyword density is the measurement in percentage of the number of times a particular keyword or phrase appears compared to the total number of words in a page.

SEO / New Disavow Links Tool
« on: February 09, 2013, 04:18:29 PM »

Some experts are warning against using the new disavow tool too liberally. One major issue some webmasters are encountering is that you can accidentally disavow good links pointing to your site, which ends up hurting your ranking instead of helping.

SEO / How to make best use of Twitter!!
« on: February 05, 2013, 04:34:40 PM »
Any Network Marketer who uses Twitter knows that it is a powerful way to connect with other "tweeters"

So exactly how is it possible to capture the fraction of the 30 million (and growing) tweeters who are potential prospects? How can you get followers who actually read your tweets, click your links and even retweet (RT) your tweets for you?

1. Get followers from outside of Twitter - talk to people on other social networks you may be on e.g. Facebook, and get them to connect with you on there. If you already have prospects on a different social network and you want to get to know them better, then get tweeting right away!

2. Send Direct Messages (DMs) to new followers - this is a fantastic way to welcome new followers. When sending a DM, just make sure to thank them for following you and let them know that you want to connect with them on Twitter. Basically write what you want - but NEVER post a link or any promotion. A blog link is acceptable but unlikely to get a big response, so there's not much point.

3. Connect with your new followers by sending @ replies - you can build relationships this way - just ask them how they are, what they are into etc. and just try and connect with them. Keep in contact with them - they might even reply to you after you send a DM.

4. Only link to your personal blog (if applicable) and put up a personal background - by doing this, you will make your profile look more professional and make you stand out from all the marketing clutter on Twitter.

To summarize, Twitter is a great marketing tool. Just make sure to lead with value, connect with other tweeters and avoid anything to do with Twitter spammers, bots and automated programs

SEO / How to do proper market research?
« on: January 31, 2013, 10:01:54 PM »

For beginner, you can do a simple market research to determine the demand and the competitiveness of your niche.

Demand analysis

Use google keyword tool and check the number of monthly searches using the exact keyword for your niche. Use long tail keyword like "dog food for toy poodle" instead "dog food" or "dog food for poodle". Be as specific as possible.

Competitive Analysis

Google search the exact keyword you use in demand analysis using "allintitle: your keyword". this way you can check how many people are already in that niche.

Divide the number of monthly searches you got from demand analysis by the number of results from competitive analysis. A ratio of 2 or more

Content is king, so be sure to have good, well-written and unique content that will focus on your primary keyword or keyword phrase.

11
Adding a blog to any site gives your clients the opportunity to add fresh content easily and regularly. Search engines love fresh content and if you encourage your client to update the blog on at least a weekly basis, or hopefully even more regularly, you will be giving them a distinct SEO advantage.

12
Marketing your website through search engine optimization (SEO) is just as important as the way your website looks and it's important to choose a professional search marketing firm.
