First I check their website, if the site looks good and it pleases me, then I go ahead with ordering but I always prefer WordPress sites.

You can search for them online, but also check SEO blogs, they can be of help too since the blogs have many pages full of content.

You are on the right track if you have managed to push all the keywords to the first page, my advice now is to double your link building effort, if you were creating 10 links per day, create 20 links per day now.
