Title: "My Stepmom" comics is "This Doesn't Feel Like Me" comics
Post by: Alexa on December 12, 2018, 10:48:04 PM
Well, there is a solution for guys like you. This "My stepmom" comics is also called in English "This Doesn't Feel Like Me". (Its Korean title is "내 맘 같지 않아".) So, if you search for "This Doesn't Feel Like Me" you may find it online for free in some website. I read online this comics to the parts where it started to snow heavily.
Title: Manga = manhwa (만화) = manhua (漫画) = comics

Just to add some knowledge over here: manga (kanji: 漫画; hiragana: まんが; katakana: マンガ) is Japanese; manhwa (만화) is Korean; manhua (漫画) is Chinese. All they mean "comics" (in English).

What does "daebak" ("대박") mean

What does "daebak" ("대박") mean: It's a Korean word. "Daebak" means "jackpot" and "big success" originally. But nowadays many Koreans also use it when they are surprised or shocked as an exclamation.
I saw it in some manhwa.
Title: What does "kya" ("kyaa", "kyaaa", "kyaaaa", etc.) mean
Post by: SEO on April 26, 2019, 04:53:48 PM

The meaning of "kya" ("kyaa", "kyaaa", "kyaaaa", etc.)

In a manhwa ("Lookism") I noticed them (for example "KYAAAA!"). The "kya" ("kyaa", "kyaaa", "kyaaaa", etc.) meaning is a sort of scream that some people use to indicate that they just got incredibly happy; it's  a squeel of happiness or scared, surprised and sometimes in pain. More or less just an exclamation.
Title: What is "메롱" ("Merong") in Korean
Post by: MSL on May 24, 2019, 02:49:37 PM

메롱 (Merong) -- a Korean word

In a manhwa ("DICE: The Cube that Changes Everything") I read the word "merong" (in Korean: "메롱"). It means making mocking gesture with your face. It is an expression kids use to tease one another -- they would hold out their tongue, crumple up their faces and say it. Title: What is "samsusaeng" in Korean

"Samsusaeng" meaning

Well, in the "DICE" there is a samsusaeng. The meaning of this word is somebody who failed a university entrance exam twice and has been studying to try again or somebody who has repeated the same year (the same grade) 3 times. In Korean "삼" is "three".

Eunju from Eunju "DICE: The Cube That Changes Everything"

I dreamed Eunju from the manhwa "DICE: The Cube That Changes Everything" ("다이스"). It was a very good and warm, nice dream! She is so pretty, feminine and good!

I found a very romantic and touching moment (in "Pandemonium 8"):

Dongtae (동태): "Ah, more importantly, what's happened to you? Where were you all along? What in the world...!
Do you know how worried I was?!
I could't find any trace of you in the rubble. No news or clues as to where you were... All I could think of were horrible scenarios...
I realized that I could never bring back things to before the fight...
I searched for you even while being hunted by other dicers!
Why didn't you contact me or Mio sooner? Huh...?"
She: "Sorry... I wasn't in a condition to do so... But look -- I'm fine! Nothing really happened. So..."
 Dongtae: "Thank... Thank God.
... I was so scared. That I'd never see you again... Thank god you're alright..."
 She: "..."
So touching and so romantic moment of this manhwa! :-* :-*

Comics, manga, manhwa, etc.

Hi, there! I changed the title of this big topic to "Comics, manga, manhwa, etc.", because we're chatting here about many different comics, mangas, manhwas and so on.

I'd like to share these words: "...Why can't I be the strongest?! What do I have to do to be special, huh?!! It's not like I chose to be born like this, so can't life just cut me a damn break?!" (Sooyoung, "DICE").

Jiksae (aka Snapper) and Rumi both think that Choi Bomi isn't really in love with Hobin. They both don't believe that a girl like her may like a boy like him. Do you think she really loves (likes) him? (I am talking about "Viral Hit" aka "How to Fight", a Korean webtoon.)

I dont read Korean webtoons much.
But love finds a way.
Some people think a girl like her may not like a boy like him
What they should do is just leave her be and let her love anyone she wants.
Its her life right?
Let her make her own decisions.

Till now according to what I watched and read so far, yes, she really likes him (nearly loves him) and she is not toying him. Of course, it depends on Park Tae Joon (the author of the story) whether or not this will be a sincere Choi Bomi or not. Don't forget that it's a fiction (manhwa). But let's think of it as a real situation -- she likes his personality (maturity, hardworking, positiveness, respectful to parents...), so she doesn't care that much about his face and body (for example that he's not tall). Plus, I want to lay stress on the fact that, in reality, a person who works so hard and starts to do so many physical activities and sports (swimming, martial arts, etc.) will become at least a bit more handsome (better body look). Also Hobin got famous (online) and comparatively rich (in a developed country as South Korea). So, he's not a loser or something like this. There are more than enough reasons for Bomi to likes and loves him. Well, of course many of the nowadays females may say it's not enough and they're searching for a richer, taller, stronger, handsomer, etc.

Oh yeah? Let me guess: you want your bf to be taller than you. It cuts the chances of all of the rest who are shorter than you or who are the same height as you. So let's count it as -20% of the males who like you have no chance because they can't reach your height standard. The next one: age. You surely will say some or too young for you and others are too old. This at least adds -10% of the males who like you. The third one: income, salaries, and stuff. You're not  going to date a man who is poor, right? -30% more. The forth one: face. I bet that at least 1 of 3 who approaches you will be "ugly" in your eyes. And who dates ugly guys? So, -30%. And at the end of the day only 10% of all of them will have the chance.

Height doesn't matter.
And i like men who are 1-3 years older than me,anything older is weird.
Income should be about $1,200 or more.
But im fine with less.
1 in 3 men is not how it is.

It's her right to choose how elder should be her boyfriend. She can define it like 1-3 years or even 1-3 month or 1-3 days. Everyone can set up some age limits like these and we can't forbid them to have these limiting and self-limiting choices. But I disagree that there is something weird. There are a lot of couples who're amazing couples no matter the age gap (which may be 5 or even 25 years). It's just not that important because for a successful relationship there are other things like: interests, characters, goals, education, culture, experience and many others. The age is just a number (or strictly speaking "age" is just a word). Yes, there is a problem if one is 4 years old and another one is 20 years old, but after 20 years (when they'll be 24 and 40), it's normal and it's allowed in most of the laws that one 24 years old have a love connection with another one who is 40 years old. It also depends what is the biological age of the person and what's his/her mental age. These types of ages are important, the rest is really a number that shows nearly nothing.

I dislike to read mangas/manhwas/manhuas which are still not finished. To wait for the next chapter a week or more is so unpleasant. Unfortunately all of my current manhwas are like this. Next time I should choose something which is completed.
