Link baiting, linkbait (or link bait)


Link baiting is just a way (a kind) of natural link building. It's when one is using link baiting hooks to attract links (not necessarily SEO; it's a very common practice). It's about the content on your website (or your website itself) that other sites link to because they like it.

Easy to get. Not new (except the term).

Link Baiting is one form of Link Building. It is the process of crafting content that is designed to get other content producers to link it.
It increases the number of inbound links to your content which in turn improves its performance in search engine.

Link bait is content on your website that other sites link to. The purpose is to increase the number of inbound links to yout content and thus improving its performance in search engine results.

 And additional purpose is (may be) that some of these websites will bring you direct traffic to your website, too.
