The nofollow (no-follow) links are also links. You're removing them as usual. Dofollow (do-follow) or nofollow (no-follow) -- it's the same (the same procedure).

Another question is why you need to remove them?! But maybe you know what are you doing.

Once your website got no-follow or do-follow backlinks, you cant able to remove those links form your website. You may contact website owner from which site you got backlink and remove backlinks. No-follow and do-follow both backlinks are important for website.

No follow links can be removed by removing the 'no follow' attribute from the link in the admin panel. Once the 'no follow' is removed the link becomes a do follow link.

 That's true, but only, if he/she is an admin or if he/she is able to convince the admin/admins of those other websites where are the no-follow links to do so. :D
 So, what I think is that you are right in case it's your own website and you are the admin (or you know well the admin, you're a friend of the admin, the admin is working for you and you're the website owner, etc.), but in the rest of the cases (situations) it's what johnniewalk already said : You may only contact the website owner from which site/sites you got backlink/backlinks in question and ask him/her to remove it/them.
 That's the way it is.

Its not possible to remove no-follow backlinks from search engine database but you can decrease the % of no-follow links by maximizing the number of do-follow backlinks of your website or business. So, i would recommend you to only work on do-follow websites for your better result.

Hi,
google providing for disavow tools you can remove no follow links in google search console.
