About the blue waffles disease myth

I learned about this right now. ;D Seems it was and it's still kind of popular online. If you search for the blue waffles disease it's a good place to learn that it's just a myth (an internet hoax)!

Blue waffles disease Wiki

Do you need some blue waffles disease wiki information? If so, well, there is a small, but good article about this in Wikipedia:
Quote
The blue waffle myth is an internet hoax purporting an unknown sexually transmitted disease affecting only women, causing severe infection and blue discoloration to the vagina. The disease has been confirmed as false. According to Dr. Elizabeth Boskey, the fictitious disease may have started after misidentification of gentian violet applied to vaginal yeast infection and has been used as a way to "police female sexuality".

New Jersey councilwoman, Kathy McBride, fell victim to the hoax during a 2013 City Council meeting believing the disease was real.

Blue waffle disease real or fake

If you still wonder about "blue waffle disease real or fake", I repeat it's not real, it's fake, it's imaginary/fictional. So, no need to search more about it and about "blue waffle disease in men", "blue waffle disease pictures", etc (because, for instance, if you do an image search, you’ll find pictures, but fake pictures of it on the Internet).
Some links, if you still don't believe:

I hope it clears things up

I hope all this clears things up and you'll be happy!  8)

Many people just believe everything they see online (and offline). I'm surprised sometimes to see how comparatively educated people believe information shared in Facebook from some ordinary site, without checking further! Easy believism. ;D

Long ago encountered this. Younger folk used to come into a science forum and then want to use a TV show or movie as the reference source for their facts. It was easier to accept spoonfed info than it was to go look it up. Made for some interesting conversations sometimes and a lot of toes stepped on because the source could not be referenced with a link.
