Homethai restaurant

There is a Thai style restaurant in the beautiful garden. But I never try in it yet.

This Homethai restaurant is in 英语课's place, i.e. in Haikou, China.
Viniaschidamini, welcome to our omnilogy community!

We went there last night. Yes.

Close to the entrance of the Homethai

It shows the benches and the wall next to the entrance of the Homethai restaurant. I like this place.
What we can read on the wall in English and in Chinese (we can't read any Thai letters, sorry):
 English: Homethai.
 Chinese: 荷美泰 and 泰式主题餐厅.
This exterior is very pretty! 8)

Thai style restaurant's interior

The interior of this Thai style restaurant is good. I'll share some of the pictures here:
Elephant head ornament and religious/art stuff:

More art on the opposite wall:

Soon I'll show you some of the Thai food that we ordered and ate over there. :)

Some Thai food

And now is the time for the Thai food. We ordered only 4 Thai dishes and here they are:
 1. (http://i59.tinypic.com/syngba.jpg)
A kind of Thai style noodles. There noodles were sweet. I wanted to try sweet noodles and I did at last. Nice food. :)
 2. (http://i58.tinypic.com/2gvmse8.jpg)
A kind of Thai style rice. This rice was spicy. I like it. A tasty Thai dish.
 3. (http://i58.tinypic.com/so8nsl.jpg)
One of the most famous Thai soups -- Tom Yum soup (how to cook this soup you can see in one of ours old thread in this big international forum: http://www.seo-forum-seo-luntan.com/food/thai-hot-sour-prawn-soup-%28tom-yum-goong-soup%29/ (http://www.seo-forum-seo-luntan.com/food/thai-hot-sour-prawn-soup-%28tom-yum-goong-soup%29/)).
I don't like it very much, but I think if I eat it everyday, I will start to like it very, very much. But I don't like soups so much.
 4. (http://i59.tinypic.com/oa96pc.jpg)
And this was my favorite!!! Beef with lemon leaves. Amazing, tasty and aesthetic food! :D 8)
I also tried I Thai beer, but the picture is still not ready. I hope I can show it to you next time. :)

Btw, you may visit often this place only if you're rich. The prices of the food over there are comparatively high.
Title: 216 RMB
Post by: MSL on June 12, 2014, 09:22:37 PM
It was because of the birthday. :) We spent 216 RMB for these dishes and for the beer. It's around 1/8 of some local salaries. I'm not that rich to visit often even simpler restaurants. Well, I don't feel sorry about this Thai experience and I liked the service -- the waiters and waitress there were polite and honest. But, for sure, I'm not going to eat there again, because I don't know if ever I'll be enough rich for this kind of restaurants. Now I can afford often only some cheaper food like the fast food in KFC and,of course, to cook/eat at home (which costs much cheaper than every restaurant food, and when I save money it's mostly, because of I eat at home, not outside). :)
