I do agree with some of the posts over there. And I never buy. All I can do is some white SEO link-building plus writing unique content. Then the PageRank is getting higher naturally. A good example is the website http://www.seo-forum-seo-luntan.com in my opinion.

I agree with you. Sometime it looks spam link into it. So Better way to use normal link building techniques to improve the website ranking.

High pagerank doesn't influence the traffic or the ranking of the website. Its good if the pagerank of the domain is high, but the overall performance is based on many different factors like website design, ranking keywords etc.

yes ranking may depend nearly 250 factors in this PageRank is one metric
