« Reply #15 on: April 03, 2015, 10:30:27 PM »

Dry bean curd salad with vegetables

Recently I prefer vegetarian diets. Cook simply but still very tasty.

4 pieces dry bean curd, shredded
100g celeries, shredded
20g red peppers, shredded
20g yellow peppers, shredded
50g carrots, shredded
2 tsp soy sauce
half tsp oyster sauce
oil
salt to taste

Blanch celeries, peppers and carrots in boiling water then strain. Fry bean curd in hot pan with oil untill it's brown ( or blanch). Mix all the vegetables and bean curd in a big bowl. Heat some oil with salt, soy sauce and oyster sauce. And then add in the vegetables and mix well.

Fruit plate--A peacock in his pride

This peacock is made by some kinds of fruit. My husband said it's very fat. I think it eats too much then gets very fat, haha...

I used half pear, two manderins, 6 grapes, one banana, two cherry tomatoes and one kiwi fruit.

Two Egg Aliens

I boiled two eggs for breakfast. Then I drink a glass of milk. But before it, I again played with the two eggs. Do you think these two look like two aliens? 8)

I think they're just 2 lovely (and fatty ;D) egg birds. The aliens' point of view (association) is interesting as well. :)
A fan of science, philosophy and so on. :)

I like to bake chicken wings by myself, even I think chicken in KFC is mostly tasty. This time I baked chicken wings wrapped with bacon.

6 chicken wings
3 slices of bacon
5g butter
1/2 tsp curry powder
1 tsp green onion
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp soy sauce
salt to taste

Preheat the oven 200℃.
Mix well in chicken wings with curry powder, green onion, ginger, soy sauce and salt and leave to marinade for 2 hours. Then dry the chicken wings, brush them with melted butter. Cut the bacon into halves and wrap the chicken wings one by one. Put them in the bakeware and bake for 20 minutes.

Jambalaya
« Reply #27 on: May 05, 2015, 06:04:19 PM »

Jambalaya

Very tasty rice. My husband likes the song "Jambalaya" then he found the food "Jambalaya".

How to cook:

80g shrimps, unshelled
2 chicken legs, bone and diced
4 sausages, cut into pieces
2 tomatoes, diced
1 green pepper, chopped
1/4 purple onion, chopped
2 slices of celery, chopped
2 cups of rice
3 cloves of garlic,chpped
1/2 tsp spicy mixture
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 parsley
1/2 basil
3 cups of chicken broth
oil
salt to taste

Heat the pan with oil, saute garlic and onion till brown. Add tomatoes and  celery, saute for 1 minute, then add chicken and sausages. Saute those up until mostly cooked.  (The chicken should not be pink on the outside.)
Then pour in all of the chicken broth, seasonings, and rice, and give it a good stir.  Cover and let it simmer on medium-low for about 30 minutes, or until the rice is cooked, stirring occasionally so that the rice doesn’t burn on the bottom of the pan.
Once the rice is cooked, add in the shrimp and continue simmering until the shrimp are cooked through.

Tomatoes with Poached Eggs
« Reply #29 on: May 14, 2015, 03:12:46 PM »

Tomatoes with Poached Eggs

I like tomatoes cooked in this way but I don't like poached eggs. So I eat the tomatoes and my husband eats the eggs.  :P

3 eggs
2 tomatoes, sliced
1 red pepper, chopped
1 clove of garlic, chopped
1 cup of chicken broth
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp paprika
oil
freshly ground pepper and salt to taste

Heat the pan with oil, saute the red pepper for 1 minute. Add in garlic, cumin and paprika.
Pile the tomatoes on the mixture. Add the chicken broth and cook for 8 minutes until the tomatoes are soft.
Make 3 hole in the tomatoes and  crack the eggs in and cook until the eggs are ready. Only cover for 1 minute.
Ground some black pepper on the eggs and serve.
