The difference between to and too

  Let's mention an important difference. It's the difference between 'to' and 'too'.
 'Too' is a synonym for 'also'. It can mean 'in addition' as in "He has five pigs and a cow, too." Well, 'too' can mean 'more than what should be', for example: "That woman is too rude!" 'Too' can be used as a way to say 'very' or 'extremely' as in "He was too stressed out about finishing his homework."
 And now about 'to'. It is more difficult to define, as it can be used in a variety of ways. 'To' is most commonly used as a preposition, in many different ways. 'To' can express a direction or a destination, as in "She walked to the library" or "They read from right to left." It can indicate a recipient: "He gave the silver ring to her." 'To' can express time: "Ten minutes to two" or something that goes with or is a part of another object: "Where is the top to this box?"... There are many other uses of the word, as a preposition, adverb and part of idioms.
