I was interested in how I looked like in my grad photo but I was astounded that I had obvious dark circles around my eyes but I was in high spirit when the photo was taken.

A friend of mine said the reason was that the light condition was not good.

 I don't understand well the photography and the photo effects but the core question is if there are dark circles when you watch yourself in the mirror, i. e. are they real or just some photogenetic problem? If it's just on the photos, I'd say, just ignore it. If the dark circles are real, then we may see how to improve it because this "panda looks" (as some Chinese people call the ones with dark circles around the eyes) isn't pleasant.
